Brainspotting Intensives
SAN FRANCISCO AND ACROSS CALIFORNIA
An accelerated, deep, focused approach to healing trauma, anxiety, and emotional blocks — personalized for faster relief and deeper breakthroughs.
You’ve waited long enough to feel better
What is Brainspotting Intensive Therapy?
Brainspotting Intensive Therapy is a powerful way to accelerate the healing that you would experience in a typical therapy or Brainspotting session. Rather than going to counseling for a 50 minute session once a week, you will set aside a specific chunk of time over multiple days for intensive therapeutic work. It is a concentrated way to get the power of Brainspotting without having to wait between sessions. It helps people explore more deeply and achieve results more quickly.
Why do a Brainspotting Intensive?
You want to experience deep therapeutic work that can change your life quickly
You have had a very painful experience in the past that is still affecting you today
You have already done EMDR or Brainspotting before and found it helpful
You want to prepare yourself mentally and emotionally for a big life transition like a serious relationship, becoming a parent, a medical procedure, starting a new job, or moving to a new city
Your schedule, life, or family situation make attending weekly therapy appointment feel more overwhelming than supportive. And you don’t want to sit on a wait list for weeks or months before getting the care you need
You have tried weekly therapy but wounds from your past keep showing up. You feel frustrated with your lack of progress or like you are ready for a breakthrough
You struggle with relationships because your traumatic experiences get in the way of feeling safe to connect with others
Brainspotting intensives provide faster healing and more flexibility
Are Brainspotting Intensives right for me?
You might be a good fit for Brainspotting Intensives if:
You have PTSD or stress from a one-time traumatic event that continues to disrupt your life and cause significant distress.
You have experienced a sudden loss or death.
You have had an accident, medical diagnosis, or medical trauma that has changed the way you see yourself and your life.
You are in weekly therapy but want to address traumatic memories in order to get more out of your therapy sessions.
You have Complex PTSD from childhood neglect, ongoing discrimination based on your identity (race, ethnicity, gender, gender expression, sexuality, etc.), or other ongoing stress.
You are a neurodivergent or highly sensitive person who wants to process over-stimulating experiences or overwhelming emotions.
Benefits of Brainspotting Intensives
Sessions are completed in a two, three, or four-day format reducing the need to take off work or find childcare for weekly sessions.
The upfront costs are greater for Intensives, but the shorter duration of therapy means that you save money over the course of treatment.
You can avoid waitlists for qualified and trauma-informed Brainspotting practitioners in your area and get the immediate benefits of symptom relief.

How does a Brainspotting Intensive compare to weekly talk therapy?
A Typical Weekly therapy session looks like:
10 minutes checking in about the previous week.
25 to 30 minutes of Brainspotting and/or talk therapy
5 to 10 minutes of closing the session
You may find that each session gets focused on something specific that happened that week. Or you may find that you struggle to know how to use the time effectively to meet your overall goals.
You have time to consolidate what you are learning throughout the week between sessions, practice new skills on your own, and then talk through the experience.
An intensive Brainspotting therapy session looks like:
10 minutes checking in about a specific focus
70 to 75 minutes of Brainspotting processing
5 to 10 minutes of closing the session
With 2-3 times more processing time per session, you might fully resolve or greatly reduce the effects of a stressor in a half day.
You are doing more focused processing work over a shorter period of time allowing you to stick to focused treatment goals
You may find that it is easier to fully engage in weekly therapy sessions after completing intensive work.
